Funky Si Book a Tour

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 2 July 2026

Welcome to funkysi.com. These terms apply when you book a walking tour or contact us through this website. By booking a tour you agree to them, so please have a read.

In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Simon Wolstencroft, and “you” means the person making a booking.

You can reach us at [email protected].

1. Booking a tour

  • All bookings are made through this website via our payment provider, Stripe.
  • A booking is only confirmed once payment has been taken in full and you have received a confirmation email. If you don’t receive a confirmation email, please contact us before assuming your place is held.
  • The number of places available on each tour is limited. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • You are responsible for giving accurate booking details, including a valid email address. We aren’t responsible for a missed tour caused by incorrect contact details.
  • Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include any applicable taxes.

2. The tour

  • Tours take place outdoors, on foot, in Manchester, in all weathers. Please dress appropriately and wear suitable footwear.
  • The meeting point, start time and expected duration are shown on your booking confirmation. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early.
  • We may make small changes to the route, running order or content (for example due to weather, road closures, crowds or access issues) without affecting the substance of the experience.
  • Tours are intended for a general adult audience. Please contact us before booking if you have accessibility requirements, so we can let you know whether a particular tour is suitable.
  • We want everyone to have a good time. We reserve the right to ask anyone behaving abusively, dangerously or in a way that spoils the tour for others to leave, without a refund.

3. If we change or cancel a tour

Occasionally we may need to cancel or reschedule a tour, for example due to illness, severe weather, or too few bookings to run it.

  • If we cancel a tour, you’ll be offered a full refund, or the option to transfer to another date, whichever you prefer.
  • We’ll always give you as much notice as we reasonably can.
  • Our liability for a cancelled tour is limited to refunding what you paid. We aren’t able to reimburse related costs such as travel or accommodation, so please bear that in mind when making other arrangements.

4. Your cancellations and refunds

Our cancellation and refund terms are set out in full in our Refund Policy below, which forms part of these terms.

5. Private and group tours

Enquiries about private tours are made through the contact form on this website. A private tour is only confirmed once we’ve agreed the details with you in writing and any required payment has been made. Separate terms may apply to private bookings and we’ll make these clear at the time.

6. Your privacy

We only use the details you give us (your name, email and booking information) to manage your booking and contact you about your tour. We don’t sell your data. Payment is handled securely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.

7. Liability

  • We take reasonable care in running our tours, but you take part at your own risk and are responsible for your own safety and belongings during the tour.
  • Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales.
  • Beyond that, our total liability to you in connection with a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking.

8. General

  • These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
  • If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
  • We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your booking is the one published on this website at the time you booked.
  • Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Refund Policy

Last updated: 2 July 2026

We want you to enjoy your tour, and we understand that plans sometimes change. This policy explains what happens if you need to cancel, and when we’ll issue a refund.

Your right to cancel

Walking tours are booked for a specific date and time. Because of this, the standard 14-day “cooling-off” period for online purchases does not apply to tour bookings under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Instead, the cancellation terms below apply.

If you cancel

To cancel, email us at [email protected] with your booking details. The refund depends on how much notice you give before the tour start time:

When you cancel Refund
7 days or more before the tour Full refund
Between 2 and 7 days before the tour 50% refund
Less than 48 hours before the tour No refund
  • Refunds are calculated from the time we receive your cancellation email.
  • Where possible, we’re also happy to transfer your place to another tour date instead of refunding. Just ask.

If we cancel

If we cancel a tour for any reason, you’ll be offered a full refund or a transfer to another date, whichever you prefer. See section 3 of our Terms & Conditions.

Non-arrival

If you don’t turn up for a tour you’ve booked, or arrive too late to join it, we’re not able to offer a refund.

How refunds are paid

  • Refunds are made through Stripe, back to the card or payment method you used to book.
  • Please allow up to 5–10 working days for the refund to appear, depending on your bank or card provider.

Questions

If anything about this policy is unclear, or you’d like to discuss your booking, get in touch at [email protected] and we’ll do our best to help.

This policy does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under the law of England and Wales.
